Airplane climb over Fernandina Beach and Florida’s northern coastline

After boarding, the airplane climbs above Fernandina Beach and the coastal area of Amelia Island. During the ascent, the shape of the island, its beaches, and the Atlantic Ocean become visible, as well as the waterways separating the island from the mainland. Depending on the flight path and visibility, you may also see the coastline stretching toward Jacksonville, allowing you to place the entire northeastern Florida shoreline in context before exit. Once altitude is reached, the skydiving experience begins, the pressure builds, and you move to the edge of the aircraft door for the jump.

Freefall and canopy descent over Amelia Island

The jump takes place from several thousand feet for a freefall lasting about 35 to 45 seconds at speeds over 125 mph.
